Services Marketing Poem

Service Encounters Poetry

The thing about a service, like cutting someone's hair,
is that tangibly speaking, it's not really there.

Service performance is not like playing a tape.
That is not how it works in a real servicescape.

Even a provider who is otherwise treasured,
can give poor service quality, no matter how measured.

Differences in performance are something you see.
Compared to many goods, there is heterogeneity.

Loyalty can suffer damage irreparable
unless provider and client are completely inseparable.

And while thinking's a service, for it can be bought,
it's so hard to inventory.  Perish the thought.
